September 2002
The
September issue of S&V is devoted to Equipment Reliability. Feature articles
cover machinery reliability and machinery vibration. The S&V Observer
covers the history of instabilities in rotor dynamics and how theory and
practice did not always agree. The editorial considers the underachievement of
condition assessment and condition-based maintenance. A letter to the editor
and several news items round out the
editorial content, including an announcement of the First Pan- American/Iberian
Meeting on Acoustics, to be held the first week of December in Cancun, Mexico.
